Many years ago, I plugged into this funky amp called a Sovtek. At the time I was young, stupid, and thought a great guitar tone involved cranking the bass and scooping the mids. I eventually learned better and have kinda regretted passing on that Sovtek.

Needless to say, I am pretty stoked to see that the Mig50 is back. My memories of this amp are decades old and a bit fuzzy but it seems I remember it being fairly clean in addition to being loud. If this is the case, It may well be the sort of thing I am looking for – Tube driven, clean, and good platform for pedals (such the EHX Big Muff). I am looking for an old school Doom/Sludge sound.

Those of you that have gotten your hands on one, how do you like it?
