    Hi all,

I have the Iron Lung, Great pedal… Its always bugged me that if you want to use it and do normal vocals you either have to:
    a) use two mics – one for the lung and another for straight vocal
    or:
    b) use a trs jack on the output and split the signal.

option “a” is just a pain, you can’t show all your guitar faces to the crowds if you’re hidden behind two microphones!!!!
option “b” works but has a major drawback, when you split the signal, in bypass the mic goes to the pa and guitar to amp. but when you engage the pedal the effected signal goes to both pa and amp… this is truly horrible… the effected sound through the pa is terrible (in my opinion) plus, the amp is already miked up and going through the pa anyway!!!!!!!!

    I have a solution tho’

I have modded my pedal (the “daft jovi” mod as im calling it)

I’ve replaced the 3pdt switch with a 4pdt and used the extra pole to switch the mic input.

When the effect is on, the processed vocal and guitar output via the jack to the amp as normal. when the effect is bypassed the mic is output through an RCA connector to the PA…

It works!!!! processed signal to amp, clean vocals through PA and at the stomp of a switch.

Attached is a couple of pics.
