Hi, im Luciano Correa from Chile (Yes, that long South American country). I ordered an Deluxe Memory Boy, everything was alright until i tested the pedal. It doesnt delay… The only knobs that work are the blend knob, the gain knob, and the delay knob (This doesnt delay, it just make some strange, really quiet, high pitched sound). Im using an 9v 500mA adapter with negative center, just like the manual says. My cables doesnt have any problem…
So whats wrong? It will be great if some EHX guy can answer me… And please, PLEASE, dont say “Send the pedal back to the store/dealer” because i bought it via internet (It was new) and im reaaaally far away from any EHX dealer or something.

Your answer/help/ideas will be really apreciated (:

(Sorry for my rusty english, im an spanish speaker).

Hi again… i readed on this forum that some guy has this same issue, and he fixed it using a 9v 200mA generic adapter… I tought that the “mA” doesnt affect anything once you pass the requierement of the pedal… so do you think this will change something or get the pedal working?

I had the same problems with a “wrong?” adaptor (which works for all my other effects). The original EH 9.6V 200mA adaptor fixed the problem.
I would like to know what multiple power supplies are compatible.

Maybe the DMB has some problem with the mA draw… I readed that some guy fixed the problem using a generic 200mA 9v adaptor. So i will try that (If i find one) and tell you what happens. Thanks for the repply!

I just had a view on my adapter which didn´t work for the DMB: 9V 500mA (center negative of course).
The result was only hum and no delay. Bypass and LEDs worked.

I have the same problem. I used the 9.6v 200ma that came with my pedal and it does not help.
    Faulty pedals.

Guys, sorry for the slow reply, but i didnt log into the forum for a while. I fixed the problem a long time ago, i used a “DIGITECH RP” adapter: 9V, 200mA. The deluxe memory boy works really great now. I think EHX pedals are awesome, but this constant problem with the power stuff its really anoying!
Thanks to all of you for your replies!
