Hello!
I have Chillswitch pedal that I have swapped out the momentary switch for a latching switch in order to turn it into a line selector.
I have recently added a new guitar to my collection (acoustasonic tele) that has a stereo output with one side being electric and one side being acoustic. While I can set it to mono mode and just switch between electric and acoustic sounds for solos etc. I am a solo performer using various pedals to fill out my sound.
The issue I am having is that when I switch to electric mode the fullness and high frequency component of my sound drops out (obviously, as it’s electric)
What I really want to be able to do is add a switch to my Chillswitch so that when I turn it on it brings in the electric sound ON TOP of the acoustic sound. Seems to me I could accomplish this by just tying the return input and amp output together. Am I missing something or do you guys think this would achieve what I am after?
Also, this is my current board layout, in case it helps. Everything is in the effects loop of the Spectrum DI and the Bad Monkey (on speaker emulation) and DD-7 are in the Chill Switch loop. The acoustic output is going to the Spectrum DI and the electric output goes directly into the Bad Monkey:
I am considering adding an MXR 6-band EQ before the Bad Monkey if I can get this working
Thanks,
Tom
A bit of experimenting has revealed this to not be as simple a fix as I expected. I’m getting a big drop in signal connecting the input straight to the output and I’m assuming it’s maybe buffer related.
Does anyone have access to any kind of schematic for this pedal?
Thanks,
Tom
