Hi, I recently bought the 2880 Looper and it came with a US power pack. The 2880 takes 9V, 500mA which seems simple enough. I bought a AC to DC 9V power adapter which is capable of 800mA, however I don’t know which way the polarity on the 2880 power input goes.
Is the centre positive or is the outside of the connector positive?
It appears that some gear has the centre positive, some make the centre negative. There doesn’t seem to be a standard.
the 2880 is center positive, but I wouldn’t recommend using anything other than the original power supply with it (or EHX approved European/Asian/Austr. version of said power supply). they have plenty of potential quirks and minimizing ever running into them starts with smart power supply application. Contact your local EHX dealer and they can order one for you.
