I recently bought an open box HOG, it seems to work great, except the M-Audio expression pedal it came with is suspect. I can’t get it to have any effect whatsoever, regardless of the HOG switch settings, or the position of the switch on the controller pedal.
What is the proper way to enable the controller pedal for use? I have no documentation.
When I try to view the document:
https://www.ehx.com/assets/instructions/hog.pdf>https://www.ehx.com/assets/instructions/hog.pdf
I get the error:
“There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.”
I’m using the latest version 9.1.0 of Adobe Reader, I’ve tried re-downloading the file. This is the only PDF I have ever gotten this error with. Unfortunately tech support at sovtek.com tells me “We have tried it here on 2 different computers and browsers. It is working.”
I’m also curious what is possible via MIDI with the HOG.
Thanks for any helpful replies in advance,
Sam
Actually, I did manage to see the hog.pdf, but only if I view it in the browser. Downloading and then opening doesn’t work. Odd. Thanks anyway
I’m not 100% sure, but I think via MIDI all you can do for now is send it pitch wheel data to control the expression pedal. I don’t know if that means that with the pitch wheel you don’t have to reverse to bend down, I’ve never tried it on mine.
Maybe Rick can come in here and clear it up a bit for us.
