Anyone ever figured out how to reduce the 120hz hum in the tube version of the hot tubes? — I also own the English Muffn, Tube Zipper, Tube EQ, and LPB2ube ,and the hot tubes is the only one of them where the 120hz hum is almost unusable– I’ve tried removing the power jack and letting it live outside the unit ,Ive tried shielding with foil (I may not have done a perfect job with that) and un-tighening and re-tightening the screws in between the tubes (that’s a must, if those aren’t tight or missing , the hum is about 20db louder!))…..I really dig the tube version of the hot tubes (also a big fan of the CD4049 hot tubes/red llama) , but I sure wish I could reduce that 120hz hum!
any insights/help is appreciated — thanks in advance.
