Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Octavix Hum Debugger order question
Hello! I reached out to ehx support for an answer but didnt hear back so I was wondering if anyone might know the answer to this. I have both the octavix and the hum debugger, my strat picks up all sorts of hum and the hum debugger works but I’m pretty sure i have to put it after the octavix because fuzz’s normally need to go at the front of the chain even though the hum debugger manual says to put it first. I also know ehx’s flavor of fuzz – muff – does not actually need to go first but when i put the fuzz after the hum debugger i do get some high pitched tones/whistling in either mode of the hum debugger and when i putt the fuzz first some of the hum seems to get through. Does anyone know if the fuzz circuit in the octavix is like the older 2/3 transistor circuits that for sure need to be first in the chain or is it more like the muff? For now ive just got the octavix first and leave am just trying to be ok with some hum rather than a lot of hum. Thanks!
