I’m trying to fix a Small Stone Nano pedal that I fried couple of years ago.
It’s out of warranty already, but I want to still fix it if possible.
I mistakenly used the wrong polarity PSU with it and heard a pop sound. Immediately removed the PSU and after a while opened up the case.
C16 on the circuit board was completely blown to pieces and there was a burned spot near the PSU connector.
C16 has been replaced with 220uF 25V capacitor, I made sure polarity was right when I soldered it:
Here’s the burned spot at the PSU connector:
Here’s a picture I found online that shows how it supposed to look like:
My plan is to find out what to solder in the place of the missing component and hope for the best 🙂
So my question is, what should I use there? It’s probably a diode right?
What are my options to solder to, I have to look at the picture to guess what would be connected to each end of the missing component and maybe solder to those directly?
Any help would be appreciated, it’s been a while since a nice phaser session with my Rhodes.
Thanks you.
